In recognition of her work, the Westwood-based Matthew Silverman Memorial Foundation has named Rebecca this year’s “Teen Hero.” She will receive the award on Monday at the 5th Annual Matt’s Foundation Golf Classic at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana.

Hal Eisner, host of In Depth, on Fox Los AngelesKTTV-TV invited founder Ron Silverman to appear on this blockbuster of a show on teen suicide which aired April 16, 2017.
Also appearing on the show are coach David Stradling, a 2016 Matt's Hero Teacher Award winner, who saved a student from suicide, and Daniel Kohanbash, a Beverly Hills High School junior who was so bullied for years he thought seriously about self-harm. Daniel credits Matt's Foundation-sponsored mental health programs and exhibits with helping him to recover from the trauma.
