CBS Los Angeles "People Making a Difference"

CBS Los Angeles KCBS-TVand KCAL-TV reporter Amy Johnson on “People Making A Difference” which aired April 28, 2017,  showcases a MSMF Presents event with Ross Szabo, national youth mental health advocate, at Harvard-Westlake Upper School. The program request was initiated by H-W student Sophia Van Iderstine when she reached out Matt’s Foundation for mental health help for her graduating class.

Start the Conversation That May Save a Life: Fox Los Angeles KTTV-TV Hal Eisner In-Depth Show on Teen Suicide

Hal Eisner, host of In Depth, on Fox Los AngelesKTTV-TV invited founder Ron Silverman to appear on this blockbuster of a show on teen suicide which aired April 16, 2017. 

Also appearing on the show are coach David Stradling, a 2016 Matt's Hero Teacher Award winner, who saved a student from suicide,  and Daniel Kohanbash, a Beverly Hills High School junior who was so bullied for years he thought seriously about self-harm. Daniel credits Matt's Foundation-sponsored mental health programs and exhibits with helping him to recover from the trauma.

The SIGNAL’s Christina Cox covers MSMF-funded /Active Minds-produced award winning youth mental health speaker Jordan Burnham at Saugus High School: he tells his story of years of being bullied, hospitalized for severe depression and surviving his attempted suicide from 90-foot fall to encourage help-seeking as courageous and strong.
