Light Up the Night 2014
The Matthew Silverman Memorial Foundation hosted its 1st “Light Up the Night” for Suicide Awareness White Party on Oct. 24 at The Buffalo Club in Santa Monica. Young Hollywood came together dressed to impress to raise money for Suicide Prevention and Awareness.
We honored Katie Cleary-Stern, who after the tragic loss of her husband Andrew in June 2014 has turned her grief into dedication for raising money for suicide awareness and prevention.
We also honored Lukas Nelson, Willie Nelson's son who lost a brother to suicide in 1991. Lukas and Ryan Cross performed an acoustic set accompanied by a candlelit moment for all those who lost their lives to suicide.
Guests enjoyed In-N-Out burgers, Foxtails photo lounge, and a line formed around the block for "A Fair and Honest Appraisal of Your Appearance" by The Bumbys, the anonymous performance artists who use nothing more than analog typewriters.
Guests danced the night away til 2am and left with gift bags filled with community resources and candles to memorialize those whom have lost their lives to Suicide.
