2026 Matt's Hero Award Winner: Samantha Rubinshteyn
Samantha Rubinshteyn
Samantha Rubinshteyn is a 17-year-old senior at Valley International Preparatory High School. She became passionate about improving mental health resources at her school after noticing how limited the support system was for students. After speaking with her counselor and student government teacher, she helped bring the Matthew Silverman Memorial Foundation to her campus to ensure students had the opportunity to feel seen, heard, and supported.
Her passion for mental health advocacy comes from her own experiences struggling to find helpful resources. That experience inspired her to create change for others and become a safe space for those around her.
Through her dedication to mental health advocacy and supporting others, Samantha truly embodies what it means to be a Matt’s Hero.
